In 2018, our 200 tonne Liebherr Crane was lifted down into the tunnel to begin work. Since then Associated Rigging has been working to help construct Melbourne’s Metro Tunnel. The tunnel will take Melbourne’s busiest train lines through a new tunnel under the city of Melbourne.
Associated Rigging has a large and modern fleet of lifting equipment, giving us the ability to manage a wide range of projects. Our 200t Liebherr crane offers maximum lifting capabilities with a powerful telescopic boom. Flexibility is paramount which is why the crane needs the ability to be configured quickly to suit each task. This makes it perfect for the Metro Tunnel Project.
With over 30 years of experience, Associated Rigging understands that every building site faces different challenges and the Metro Tunnel Project is no different. In addition to our 200t Liebherr, we have also been taking advantage of our modern fleet of Sennebogen crawler cranes, including our two 50 tonne cranes and our 40 tonne crane. These cranes are easy to transport, quick to set up and efficient. They’re perfect for smaller lifting tasks and have been working hard to achieve our Metro Tunnel Project objectives.
With our well-maintained crane fleet, safety, expertise, reliability, and professionalism, we look forward to our continued contribution to the success of the project.
